Chefs Wanted: 'Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live'

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Chef Gordon Ramsay has a fiery reputation for tearing cooks apart on his show "Hell's Kitchen." But now a kinder, gentler side of Chef Ramsay is about to be revealed.

"Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live," set to premiere on Dec. 15 on FOX, is looking for people who love cooking but lack the skills to put a gourmet meal together to appear on the new special. People around the country will appear on the show from their own homes and observe and cook along with Chef Ramsay as he prepares a three-course meal in just under 60 minutes on live television.

Viewers will be prepped in advance with the list of ingredients, utensils and cookware they will need to ensure they can keep up with the chef and not get thrown out of the kitchen. When the live hour is over, viewers will have prepared a delicious three-course meal to share with their families.

Those interested in appearing on the show from their homes can download an application here . The deadline to apply is Nov. 20.

The British version of "Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live " premiered on Jan. 18, 2008 and featured fellow celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Episodes featured Ramsay preparing a themed menus that the country could cook along with.
