Tony Gonzalez, Wife Go Nude for PETA Ad

Atlanta Falcons football player Tony Gonzalez and his wife, October, are the latest celebrities to go nude and appear in PETA's "We'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign.

In a video posted on a PETA blog , Gonzalez said that the couple wanted to do the ad "to bring awareness ... that cruelty to animals is something that shouldn't be accepted."

Gonzalez also spoke about his plant-based diet, "I'm going into my 13th year in the NFL, and I switched over [to a plant-based diet] two years ago. … [T]he day after a game, everybody's sore … and I'm jumping rope and they're looking at me like, 'Man you're supposed to be the old guy on the team. You're acting like you're the youngest guy on the team.'"

USA Today noted that as the ad circulates, fans will likely want to know more about October Gonzalez.

The couple joins other celebrities including Eva Mendes, Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee and Dennis Rodman who have appeared in the campaign.
