Twilight's Robert Pattinson Is Edible

(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - “Twilight” fans may long to have Robert Pattinson nibble on their necks. Those with a taste for the hunky heartthrob will soon get to sink their teeth into a life-size chocolate bust of the actor.

The 39-pound sculpture, depicting Pattinson as his character from the “Twilight” movies, is part of a promotion from British DVD rental firm Lovefilm, reports The Telegraph . ( Watch video of Robert Pattinson chocolate bust being made .)

Pattinson was immortalized in chocolate after being voted hottest Hollywood star in a Lovefilm poll. The 23-year-old beat out such big-screen stalwarts as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx.

The Belgian chocolate bust took food artist Prudence Staite two weeks to complete, according to  The Telegraph . Lovefilm is awarding this sweet prize to one lucky person in a random drawing . The contest is open only to residents of Great Britain.

A spokesman for Lovefilm told The Telegraph: "We were inundated with requests from fans looking to win and even some asking to buy the chocolate head outright. We'd heard that fans always ask him to "bite" them, but now it seems they are more than willing to turn the tables."

Pattinson fever has taken some odd forms, including shower curtains and body pillows along with the  usual T-shirts, key chains and coffee mugs .

Fans of the series will get a new fix soon because the third “Twilight” film is scheduled to release this summer.
