Scott McMahen:

Originally from Latrobe, PA moved to Chattanooga when he was 11.

Scott grew up loving Lynn Swann, Mean Joe Greene and Jack Lambert from the famed 70's Pittsburgh Steelers, also on the baseball diamond, Willie Stargell's flare for the dramatics. After he moved to Tennessee, Willie Gault captured the imagination with his speed and flare.

Scott graduated from both Hixson High School and University of Tenn-Chattanooga and was a basketball walk on for the Mocs in 1987-88 season under Coach Mack McCarthy.

Scott has been blessed with 23 years in media and 21 specifically on Sport Talk as either host or producer. In 1994, they tried an "experiment" with high school football because there were things called cell phones that made it possible to call in scores from the bleachers.... and the Coca-Cola Red Zone was born. The Red Zone covers area high school football in a scoreboard type format, scores every 15 minutes, with a game of the week reporter and a ton of other fans that keep the scores updated every week.
