Fifth Quarter Host: Dave Keylon

Dave Keylon:

Originally from Dayton, Tennessee where he still resides.

Dave grew up bleeding orange. He attended his first Tennessee football game when he was five years old with his dad, and has been hooked on the Vols ever since. Some of his favorite players growing up were former Tennessee Linebacker Dale Jones and Vols Quarterback and childhood friend Andy Kelly. He also has several heroes in the broadcasting industry. Dave always looked up to Ron Franklin, Howard Cosell and Legendary Tennessee Play-by-Play Announcer John Ward.

When Dave was 13 he, along with his Dad, got a peek inside of a television truck outside Neyland Stadium. He knew then and there what he wanted to do when he grew up. Dave graduated in 1995 from Rhea County High School and attended Chattanooga State before transferring to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he received his Bachelors Degree in Communications in 2000.

Dave began at FOX61 in July of 2000 in news. In 2002 he moved to Knoxville and took a job as Sports Photojournalist for WATE covering local sports and his favorite team the Tennessee Volunteers. In 2006 Dave returned to FOX61 and has been here ever since. In 2010, he, along with Chris Goforth, Scott McMahen and Heather Madison launched the Fifth Quarter, as a mid-week look at high school and college football. He often says, "I'm living a dream being on television talking about my favorite thing, football. It's really cool to go out to places and have people pay compliments about the shows that you work so hard to put together and tell you that you're doing a good job. I never thought a good ole country boy from Rhea County could get a shot at something like this. At least that's what my college professor told me."
