A routine kitchen fire inside a Chattanooga home turned deadly for the man who lived there. The fire started in a home on East 13th Street, Sunday afternoon. Firefighters responded and quickly put out the fire. Firefighters say a man was sitting on the porch when they arrived. That man, who was identified as Fred Wyatt Junior, went into the house and tried to put out the fire himself. Everyone in the home got out. But firefighters say Wyatt, who was hooked up to an oxygen tank, looked as though he couldn't breathe. He collapse and died.
