The state Department of Children's Services is looking into whether the death of a 4-year-old boy could have been prevented. There's an internal investigation into how DCS handled the case that ended in murder, on Monday. Police say 4-year-old Tyreke Evans and his brother Donamiche Brewer were beaten by their mother's boyfriend. Tyreke died from his injuries. His brother is still in critical condition. We learned their mother has watched her boyfriend beat the children several times in the past. Within the last month, DCS began investigating the home. Now, they're looking into whether their department did enough.
