Three Shootings in One Weekend in the Scenic City

It was a violent weekend in the Scenic City --3 separate shootings leave one person dead and 2 others injured. Tonight, we know the name of the man police say was gun downed in Orchard Knob. Police say the body of 23-year old Demarcus Husband was found in the front yard of a home in East Chattanooga.

A 16 year old is charged with attempted first degree murder following another shooting Saturday night. This happened around 11-30 and police say its gang related. 19-year-old Ronald Spence told police that he was near Camden Street and Dodson Avenue when he was approached by the suspect. As he removed his head phones to listen, the suspect opened fired at him. Spence was shot in the left shoulder and arm as he ran away. Later, police found the 16-year-old shooter in an abandoned house on Camden Street and arrested him.

A 14-year-old boy is recovering today after he was shot in the leg Saturday night. That shooting happened on East 13th Street near Kirby Avenue.  According to police, the teen called them last night around 7 p.m after he'd been shot. He told police that he was walking with friends when another group of juveniles began yelling at them. Suddenly his friends began to run and when he turned to see what was going on, he saw a suspect in all black with a blue mask shooting at them. He ran but was shot in the leg in the process.
Police have not made an arrest in this case and are still investigating.
