A man did what he thought was right and ended up the victim of a brutal attack. It happened to Timmy Doyle on New Year's Day. Police say Doyle noticed a man hitting his wife in the parking lot of a Waffle House, in Cleveland. A police report says that man, Avery Ladd Junior, left the restaurant with his wife and that they had been arguing while they were inside. Police say when Doyle saw Ladd abusing her, he ran outside to stop him and that's when Ladd turned on him.
