During the conference about gangs, the mayor pointed out one local program that's making a difference in the fight against gangs. We visited that gym last week and talked to their owners about why it's so successful. It's a Y-CAP after school program which also teaches boxing. Owner Joe Smith says juvenile court refers many students to their facility. He says they pick the kids up from school, help them with homework and talk about issues at home - before hitting the gym.
