Chattanooga Chuck Predicts Early Spring

Chattanooga -

Though Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, ushering in six more weeks of winter, the local guessing groundhog, or woodchuck, had a different opinion on the upcoming weather. Chattanooga Chuck made an appearance for Groundhog Day and predicted an early spring. Despite the clear sunny skies, he did not see his shadow. According to legend, if a hibernating animal sees his shadow on February 2nd, the Christian holiday Candlemas, there will be six more weeks of winter.
