A chemical leak caused major problems on Amnicola Highway, Tuesday morning. A two-mile stretch of the road was closed for three hours after crews tried to find the source of an ammonia leak at the BASF plant. Firefighters had to evacuate several businesses around the plant. Chattanooga State also had to shut down for a couple of hours.
