The Chattanooga City Council and a group of people living on the Westside are upset about how Mayor Ron Littlefield's office handled communication regarding a meeting. On January 31st we told you about Purpose Built Communities and how Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield wants to bring the initiative here. It's an entire community redevelopment plan that moves out residents in low-income communities, levels the area then rebuilds it as a mixed income neighborhood. Tuesday, as promised, the mayor held a follow up meeting about the plan with the Westside. It's one of the main areas they're looking at for this project. But the city council had no idea this meeting was going on, and neither did a large group of Westside neighbors.
